Spontaneous Combustion

A frigid fire

Smolders within

Clinging to each breathe

It ignites for a flash

But in an instant is smothered

Flesh to flesh

A tongue

A kiss

A bite

The flames have no fury

Controlled burn

Turbulent but repressed

But then

Spontaneous combustion

And in conflagration

I am turned to ash
